The Great Egret, also know as the Great White Heron has been honored as the creator of light. A double headed Heron in Egypt is symbolic of prosperity, here she is shown with her reflection which may be interpreted as two heads. As a Chinese symbol the Heron can represent strength, purity, patience and long life. Some Native American cultures use the egret to signify inquisitiveness, curiosity and determination.
